Case Studies
Below is a case study of using FlexScan3D to capture a real world objects, transforming them into digital form and printing them out.
Video Game Controller
First, we took the physical scans. The images below show the scanning patterns used to digitalize the object.
Then, we processed the scans into point clouds.
We merged multiple scans together, and triangulated the point clouds in to a single mesh using a 3D scan cleanup package like Leios Mesh.
We saved the end mesh as an STL file and printed it on our 3D printer. We printed the objects smaller than they would normally appear.
